I was watching the film Anacoda recently and was wondering if anyone could tell me what would happen to Owen Wilsons charchter after he was swallowed . We saw the out line of his body inside the snake as it swam off . What would happen to the clothes he was wearing . Top, Kaki shorts , and shoes /socks .

Well, first off, it was just a movie. Realize that anacondas are nothing like what is portrayed in that movie.
Next up, lets say an anaconda has swallowed a human. That would be a very rare circumstance. Oh well. The clothing on the human would not be digested. Eventually, the snake will regurgitate all of the undigested portions of the meal. The bones, hair, and clothing will get regurgitated. Snakes swallow creatures all the time that have parts that will not be digested. Very few meals to a snake are 100% digestible.
I knew a person in college who had let his snake swallow a sock. He dropped the mouse in the tank with the snake and then went off to class. He had a few socks in there as something that the snake could hide under. The mouse hid inside one of these socks and the snake killed the mouse thru the sock and then swallowed the mouse and sock. Later, it regurgitated the sock and mouse parts. Not the best snake owner, I admit, but it is an example of a snake eating human clothing and what happened afterward that I can think of.

All snakes have an acid in their digestive system which helps to break down solid foods. If the snake does not like what it has eaten...or gets indigestion..it will vomit it out.

Aspects of a prey that are indigestible are compacted into a ball and eventually vomitted by an anaconda.

As with any waste product, it get passed out the other end. I think you need to get out more it is only a film!!

I have 2 snakes and let me tell you, like any other animal, what isn't digested, would come out the other end.....

I think the snake would spit them out at a later date. Im not sure if its stomach would be able to digest fabric... but thats just my personal opinion! Lol
