my favorite stroke is the butterfly. I enjoy the challenge and it comes the most natrually to me. I know a lot of people say its hard or they hate it, but once you get it down, its fun. Plus, it looks soo cool to watch and its so pretty, too. I also am good at free and back. Breast is okay. Other than free, fly is my strongest stroke. Also, I LOVE to swim. I think swimming is one of the best sports.

Freestyle is a good stroke for all levels and depending on what rate you go(20%, 70%) it can be easy or hard. I thinking freestyle is a basic stroke and is fun to watch! Backstroke is one of my best strokes and I like it because it's more of a cool down stroke. If you are at a meet and you just did 200 fly, 50 Back is always a good cool down race. Backstroke is okay to watch, but I really like learning from the turns that professionals do! Butterfly is my best stroke, but it's a pain being a butterflier. Butterfly IS the hardest stroke no matter what anyone's opinion is! You burn twice as many calories doing butterfly than freestyle. Nuff said. I love watching butterfly because everyone's form is so pretty! Being a butterflier is hard because Coach gives you 'extra fly sets'. >.< Many think breaststroke is the easiest, but you can't do the stroke correctly if you're going slow. Breaststroke is a cool down stroke, but you can't go slow. you need to go at a moderate speed and shoot your hands out in front of you so your glide can be long enough. Breaststroke is a tedious sport to watch, but I love watching the pull-out!

I love backstroke!!! Fly is my second, then free and lastly breast. I always use my favorite stroke as a quiz question for my kids during practice, "If you know what my favorite stroke is then you can pick the next drill!" kinda thing. Gets the kids involved on a more personal level.
Though I am a huge fan of backstroke I usually swim my distances freestyle due to the efficientcy of it and the necessary sighting. In the summer of 1999 I did 5 miles of backstroke in open water just to see if I could do it. Using a buddy in a boat as my chase vehicle, I swam a 5-mile up and back in the water off the Jersey shore. I've never been so sore or sunburnt in my life! I will never do that again but it was good to be able to say I did it. The swim took a little over 2.5 hours in relatively calm water and spurred my interest in competitive open water distance swimming.

For sustained exercise, i do the free-style often because it provides great aerobic fitness, esp when you do numerous laps non-stop. I do butterfly too but it is rather exhausting. Breast-stroke is too light and you don't feel stretched enough. I don't do back-stroke after few incidents of head bangings with other swimmers! Concussions like these r not pleasant for several days. Swimming is one of the few beneficial activities i would recommend to all my friends and relatives. We also feel safe when going for river, sea cruises and on holidays. It can also be a creative venture as u can also invent a dozen tricks in a swimming pool. Swim often- no less than thrice weekly- and u will know what i mean.
If you are tall, have bigger than average hands and feet, that's a great advantage. You can be the next champion in national contests and go on to bigger things- just create that passion and collect some golden medals!

My favorite stroke is breast stroke because I'm good at it and I made it to JOs for breast stroke. My least favorite is Backstroke because...well I don't really know I just really don't like it. I also like freestyle and I'm good i guess and butterfly is ok and I guess I'm ok at it because swim it in most meets.

Man I remeber when I used to swim in meets. I was like 10 and out there in a speedo, it was f-ing awesome. They always made me do the backstroke because I was good at it but I hated it. I always like the Fly because I think it is the most fun.

Well last year, I looked like Nemo when doing butterfly. It was my first year swimming, and I just did it for a summer neighborhood team. I used to be really, really good at freestyle but then I found my rhythm in butterfly. I'm still really good at free, but as I get faster at fly, I'm gaining time in free. I don't get it, but at least my fly is improving. I LOVE fly now! :]]

My favorite stroke is Butterfly. My worst stroke is backstroke, idk why but i just dont like it, and well freestyle is kinda my best but besides that butterfly is my best. Breaststroke is ok for me, im not the fastest in the pool at it but im not the slowest either, but as for backstroke well lets just say that i probably will never go to JO's for that.
