I feel like a prevert and never dreaded anything as bad in my life. Does anyone else have problems with this?

i had this and felt the same way.. Actually, It was over before I knew what was done. It is weird thou when my doctor wiped me afterwards

My grandfather had prostate cancer, and my father had prostate cancer - I'm only 28 but was told it was a good idea to start having yearly exams. Had my first one a couple months back - it was by no means fun or enjoyable. In fact it sucks. However, it wasn't NEARLY as bad as I expected or made it out to be. It doesn't take long, the dread is worse than the exam itself. Just relax and go to a happy place and it'll be over before you know it.

Why do you feel like a pervert? The doc is merely doing his job and it only takes a couple of seconds. Would you rather the doc didn't do his job and then you wind up with prostate cancer???? There is nothing perverted about the doc doing his job nor you LETTING a doctor do his job. You need to change your attitude before you go in and realize that this may save your life.

Most men feel embarassed by this, but the doctor is only doing his job as the same as when a woman goes for a pap test. They are professionals and understand the patients feelings. Better to be uncomfortable for afew minutes than to ignore it and end up with undetected prostate cancer.

Honestly, think back to when you were a kid, and had to get a sports physical..oh em gee the doctors gonna touch my nuts. well same thing, its not a long procedure, It'll be over before you even realize. All guys gotta go through it, and the doctor does this all the time. Hes definitely not going to be weird about it. Itll be quick and professional.'

Yeah, I had the same problem. It will be over in a few seconds and you will wonder why it bothered you in the first place.

most men dont mind a prostate exam, it;s just something you gotta do. some men have secret homosexual tendencies and they worry they're gonna like the exam so they post questions on yahoo answers

You'll hear the snap of the glove....you'll assume the position and in 30 seconds it's all over. It's no big deal....buck up and do it.

As you get older it becomes a yearly exam. No big thing.
