I'm totally stumped here. I've got a saved document but it's formatting is like this:

abcdefg
hijklmno
pqrstuv
wxyz

The entire doc. is about 60 pages long. How so I format it so that the sentence looks like this:

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

I want the sentences to fill the line. What I've been doing is going to the last word in the sentence and hitting the delete button so that the line below automatically get's shifted up, but that's too long of a process. I can't figure out how to do it automatically to the entire document at once. I tried to justify all, but that didn't work. Anyone know what I can do?

(Regarding the answers above...dragging the ruler on the toolbar will change the VIEW of the document, but it won't fix the line breaks.)

But don't worry, there IS an automatic way to get all those broken lines on one line.

1. First of all, you have to figure out what kind of line breaks they are. In the MSWord toolbar, there's a little button with a paragraph symbol (looks sort of like a backwards "P") on it. This button is located next to the percentage zoom box that tells you what percent zoom you currently have on the view of your doc (probably says "100%").

Ok, so make sure that button is activated/turned ON. Now you will see all the formatting (spaces, tabs, line breaks, etc) characters in your doc.

2. Now, look at the ends of all of your lines? Is it a Paragraph Mark (you'll see a paragraph symbol...looks like a backwards "P")? Or, is it a Manual Line Break (looks like a little arrow that points down and to the left)?

You can auto replace all of these with a space.

3. Press CTRL + H. The "Find and Replace" box will pop up. a. Click on the "Replace" tab.
b. On the bottom of the "Replace" tab, click "More".
c. In the "Replace" tab, place your cursor in the "Find what" box.
d. On the bottom of the "Replace" tab, click "Special"; choose either "Paragraph Mark" (NOT "Paragraph Character"), OR, "Manual Line Break", depending on how your lines are broken (we discussed this 2. above).
e. In the "Replace" tab, place your cursor in the "Replace with" box. Press your space bar once, to indicate that you want to replace all those Paragraph Marks or Manual Line Breaks with a space.
f. In the middle of the "Replace" tab, Click "Replace All".

thats a common error when you attempt to reformat a document in something other than its original application that created it. I am not aware of any way to auto correct the issue, without finding the original app that was used. If you are 100% sure that you have the original app, then it was just corrupted when saved and again not much you can do but manually edit it.

You should see a "ruler" right above the text area. Hover over the right side of the ruler until two little arrows come up. Just drag that to the right until you reach your desired width. Maybe this screenshot will help: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1074/601358598_16d05ff0ae.jpg?v=0

As long as the computer recognizes the sd card then you just treat it as if it were another hard drive. When you open the document you will save it as usual but save it to the sd card instead of into your document folder.
