are they realliable if i buy it in ok condition. what were there major flaws. how about gas mileage how many miles to the galon roughly could they get

Understand, cars made in the late '70's and early '80s were not the best made. If you've found a good one you can expect around 17 mpg for the v-8. The most major flaws are in the construction and materials (IE: rust, interior deterioration and such). It is after all a 30 year old car, if you like it and don't mind getting your hands dirty you'll have something that they don't make any more.

They used to be a good car 28 yrs ago, I had a Grand Prix, similar car. Will probably get around 17 mpg on the highway, less in town.

Very reliable car,not very good gas mileage,after all it is a 1979 before low emission vehicle came in effect!

the doors are heavy you might have to replace the hinges or just put bushings in them.
