been there done that. Mine was Barney. I hated that Purple piece of crap. I wanted to strangle him. We had to watch that movie 30 times a day. I think my daughter thought he was her daddy.

Chill out! You need to be in charge of your temper when you're around a child. Count to ten and take a deep breath.
Have you tried offering her other children's movies to watch?Children will go through stages where they want to read the same book or watch the same movie over and over again. It's part of their comfort zone. This behavior is basically harmless and if you don't make a big deal out of it, she'll eventually get bored with watching that movie all the time.
You might want to ask her to turn down the sound and get yourself a book or magazine to read while your niece is watching the movie.

Tell her the VCR is broken so she'll have to watch TV. Works at my house. Noggin and Disney channel programs are good, they're only half an hour long so if it wrecks your nerves at least it's not 90 minutes! "Maybe Mommy or Daddy can fix it, later" is what I'd say about the broken VCR. Be the adult...lie.

I can see now why you are on the computer while watching the little girl. It is very common for little ones to watch things over and over. Just be thankful that she's not running up and down the walls and annoying you. Do something in another room while popping your head in to check on her every now and then. Or you could take her to the park.

Show them a different movie. Like Die Hard!
Just kidding, but try turning on like Finding Nemo or The Incredibles.
