Can my wii which i bought in Ireland play wii US games, does anyone know why they bring out games in japan and US first before Europe, I understand Japan games may need to be modified because of there different wrighting but whats the difference between Us english based games and European english speaking games?

The wii and games are region lock. You have to buys games from Ireland. I don't think you can play US games on it since you bought the Wii from Ireland. :(

Japan and the US use NTSC style TV's while Europe uses PAL, so games have to be made to run on a different TV type.
