Salad rolls are also tasty (the rolls made with rice paper). My husband loves Vietnamese food, and he tries something new every time we go out. Try some of their satay (skewered meats) We order a big bowl of rice noodles, with about 6 spring rolls, a salad roll each (I like the chicken ones) and then a bunch of skewered meats, and veggies. Sorry I don't know the names of the foods. . . .I am new to Vietnamese cuisine, but I do love it!!

Depends on what else they serve. We have several different kind of dishes that you may like. For instance, Pho is the most popular beef soup in the US Americans like it. Other dishes such as Banh xeo- looks like crepe with seafood inside, serve with lettuce and spicy fish sauce. Banh cuon- is a cooked rice flour wraps with ground pork, mushroom, onion serves with light fish sauce, gio, sometimes cooked bean sprout depends where you came from. Bun thit nuong- is BBQ pork, cut thin, serves with lettuce, crushed peanuts, rice noodle and of course light fish sauce.
Those are most common Vietnamese food. Of course there are much, much more that you find in Southern Ca where there are lots of Vietnamese people reside. I don't know this restaurant in Japan owns by Vietnamese people or someone else. Authentic Vietnamese food must cook by Vietnamese people. Others put their twist into it and it doesn't taste the same.

For the person above. Sushi is not Vietnamese food. It's Japanese.

You should try:
goi cuon - this is kind of similar to japanese sushi in the way that you put stuff in and then roll it up, dip it into some sauce and then eat it. The things you can put in are, cucumber, prawns, meat, vegies...anything.
You should also try pho - this is a beef noodle soup. you can have in with, different selections of meats (most commonly beef and chicken) along with beef balls. There are many different kinds.
You should also try some vietnamese desserts and sweets. You should go to wikipedia and sites such as that where they give you more examples.
