Let me just say that it took a couple of minutes to stop laughing before I could answer this question. No, the class of 1997 from my high school has not changed the world as we promised! Hopefully we are all still making the attempt to change the world by being the change that we want to see.

Some of us have changed the world a little. Some of us never left our home town. Most of the "class heroes" never became heroes again. I have had great success in my business, but at the high school reunion I was treated as if I was still a shy nobody. I pondered this while sitting in a Mediterranean cafe on one of my business trips. It is written, "a prophet is without honor in his hometown". I have decided to put that high school baloney behind me.

For the worse maybe. Most of the kids I went to school with are on drugs now and most of them are still living like a bunch of teenagers.

We have changed the world. Never for the better. We have killed, we have destroyed, we have multiplied. I graduated with more felons than scholars and it's scary.
