In southern netherlands right now (tri border area) it is windy. For the past week it has rained off and on everyday. So far only a couple of "hot" days but hey I'm not complaining about those. I'm from southern alabama so this temperature is wonderful. It was still kida light outside lastnight at 11 so. When it is raining it is absoltuley beautiful

I used to live in Charlotte and it's pretty similar to Charlotte weather. From what I hear, it's much hotter in Charlotte than here now, and we have lots more rainfall during the summer months. The running joke in Holland is that summer lasts for 2 weeks, and during those 2 weeks it's so hot you'll think you're in hell. It's absolutely accurate! The great thing is that the sun doesn't go down until 10pm or later, so there's lots of daylight to explore the cities.

the weather in the Netherlands is actually very similar to the weather in England

one good thing about the summer in both countries is that it is not dark until 10pm or later, and day break again by 4.30 am !

unfortunately you of course get the opposite effect in the winter!

It was raining cats and dogs in Amsterdam when you asked your question. It is better now/
For the rain look at buienradar (http://www.buienradar.nl/h.aspx). For the rest try the KMNI.
