Hey mate,
In case a cricket match is delayed due to rain, the umpires and match refree decide the fate of the game... in case the game has not or just began they reduced the number of overs per side.
OR
if one of the teams have batted and rain plays spoil sport to the other teams batting.... the umpire use the Duckworth lewis method which is applicable only when 25 overs of 1/2 of the alloted overs are bowled..
A recent method that was used in the world cup is to continue the match on the reserve day from where the match had been terminated.

wll first of all its DUCKWORTH lewis lol
dependingon the form ofthe game really
if its a one ay game the overs ill be reduced and if its the second innings that is affected the chasing team will have a revised target which it set using the run rate.
with a test match overs will be lost but may be made up throughout the match over the 5 day period with the extended finish time of approx 7pm(england). Overs lostin a first days pklay may be made up 8 overs a day
hpe this answers your question

They listen to music, call their girlfriends, call their brokers to check on their investments but they try not to think about cricket because they are guaranteed their match fees anyway. This is about the Indian cricketers of course.

If it is not too late then they will reduce the overs or they will simply cancel the game or if possible postpone it.
