I am normally one to answer many questions, but this is one question that I have to ask. I am a Christian and feel as though I have reached a point of maturity where I now create peace with others in the name of GOD. And yet, we fight a war in the name of GOD, so I am confused. During the Catholic Crusades, a war was fought in the name of GOD to remove the Muslims from Israel. Then Saladin rose up and fought the Christians (he was Muslim) in the name of GOD. The Germans fought the Americans saying (translated) GOD is with us and Americans said the same thing. Christians say that GOD is with us in a role as an occupier in Iraq while the Muslim extremist claim that they are fighting a holy war. Yet I am a man of peace. So my question is this: Am I wrong to create peace with others of different nationalities and religions? Or do I take sides in this war saying GOD is with us. I am of the personal belief that GOD is a GOD of peace and I wanted to know what others think.

Dear Brother.

May God Bless You with health and prosperity and keep you on the Straight Path Amen.

With reference to your Question:

We attained the belief in God through His Noble Holy Prophets. While we say that we believe in God, we do not follow the path of the Holy Prophets, which is the cause of all the Turmoil in this world.

While God is the One and the same God to all the Holy Prophets Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad peace be on all of them. If all the followers of those Prophets follow the path as shown respectively by them. There shall be peace prevailing in this world.

But unfortunately it is not. The followers have even violated the instructions of their prophets right in their period as you know. Again after the prophets passing away God has sent other Prophets to remind us. So Moses came after Abraham Jesus came after Moses and Muhammad came after Jusus.

While the Ultimate God and His doctrine remains the same in Basics, it is we the Followers, who are waging war and killing each other in the name of Religion, which cannot be understood even by me.

It is a Blessing that people like you are still there in this world thinking on these lines, so there is a chance of peace, if I and many others keep following on this path. This might keep the Armagadon a bit far to reach this wretched world.

Keep it Going Brother, Welll Done.

May Allah God Keep all of us on His Straight Path Amen.

Yes GOD is GOD of peace. HE does not encourage wars, hatred or anything negative. GOD is light, in HIM there is no darkness at all. He is pure. Yes you are in the right path to create peace with others. The question is if others will accept your peace offer. Just do the best you can, stay positive, loving and fully persuaded about what you know is right. Do not condemn, feel guilty or blame yourself if someone rejects the peace you are offering. Wars are from men not GOD.

The leaders of yesterday and today that fight a war in the name of God are no better than the little old ladies that ignore their son's abusing their wives and say I will leave it up to God.

There are always deeper reasons for war, control, oil, money, the threat of giving women and children basic human rights.

I judge no one for their religion, God didn't put me on this earth to judge. He put me here to do no harm and help when I can.

God is a God of peace and love and we are hear to learn and do better.

Don't change who you are because of selfish believers you will be rewarded for doing the right thing some day........

No you are not wrong to create peace. You are right, right, right. I for one do not think for one second that God wants us to create wars, fight and shed blood. Not for one second do I believe that he is 'with the Americans' in this illegal war. Not for one darn second, because innocent people have been killed unjustly and how can anyone say that our God supports that? People that kill 'in the name of God' are just idiots that use their religion as an excuse to back their despicable actions.

Trust in God... Dont put your trust in religion. Religion is to keep wicked people in power. Their are alot of good principles in treating your common man right, in the bible but God is a God we can share with all mankind for God loves all.. therefore it is foolish to assume God wants you to go to war. I dont call myself a Christian however i do accept Christ as the Messiah and if you live like him there shouldnt be no wars.

to me, once you move from spirituality to any type of organized religion (i am not saying religion is wrong), you have separated yourself from others, i would more think of it in terms of "i feel God is with me, us, and we have gone to war", that wouldnt mean God accepts or approves it, or thinks its a right action, to me its wrong to make statements like "in the name of God, or with God on our side etc", we are all part of God, and when we kill, we kill part of ourselves,
war, there again to me, is a human thing, and a non-spiritual thing
peace should be the goal, anytime we can achieve it, we should protect life,, i feel we do have a right to self-defense, just as we would cut off our arm if absolutely necessary to protect our life (say if it had an incurable infection in it), but we would use any means necessary first before we resorted to that,
the wars you mention, especially the ones today, are not carried out because of this type of self-defense,

You are right to make peace with others. I'm in the same boat as you. These wars are nothing but a hassle.

look into history: the two Islam and Christianity have had huge killing sprees interior the previous killing tens of millions, being advised to 'convert or die'. considering that the two religions have compelled conversions, interior the previous it has surely brought about plenty bloodshed, and as a effect you need to certainly no longer say they have been preaching peace.
