I need to know what are the most efficient/effective water purification methods. Possibly ranked? A resource providing a rank/ comparison of various water purification methods would be very helpful. Thanks

Caron treatment, UV light, filtration, reverse osmosis, and deionization are some. I don't know how they rank against one another. You might have to look that up yourself. It probably depends on what's polluting the water in the first place (like chlorine or bacteria or lead, etc.)

I know my Brita pitcher, which uses carbon treatment, works wonders.
