I want to paint the dash and trim on the inside of my car; is there anything better than just using a nice grade spray paint?

At my local body shop supply store there is a brand of paint just for vinyl, I can't think of the name but it works great. It's about 9 bucks a can though.
I suggest checking out places like that

Don't use regular spray paint---won't adhere well. The paint has to be able to flex and not crack---try an interior repair service that dealers use to fix up their trade-in cars.
