Well I seem to think you mean Compact Discs but we still have them so you can't say "what was cd's?" but you also might mean Conflict Desert Storm

I assume you are talking about cds for music and not the cds you find in a bank. A cd is an album that holds music for those to listen too honey. Kinda like a dvd but without the picture. It is compact meaning that it is small and lightweight and can be easily handled unlike the old vinyl records or reel to reel tapes.

CD which is what you find in a bank is a certificate of deposit and you deposit money into the cd and it accrues interest. And at the end of the stated time period, you can withdraw the money out of the account.

Compact Disks! They hold files liiiike music and pictures.

Unless you're asking what we used before CDs...
For music we had the Cassette Tape.
As for files, we had floppy disks.
