if the thermostatic switch in the rad is at fault then all you need to do is join the two wires together that go to the switch.Otherwise if there is no current going to the switch you need to supply power to the fan by taking a live feed from an ignition controlled fuse directly to a switch inside the car--buy a flick switch---and then continue the feed to the wire going to the fan on the thermostatic switch in the rad. This way you can control the fan as you want

Take a power feed from the battery via a fuse and switch, directly on to the fan.Probably easier to replace the fan switch on the engine though?

Ha ha, I liked Mud's answer (primus fan?), I had to do a similar dodgy repair job on an old golf with extremely dodgy electrics, it does work, but I'd suggest you use this only as a temporary fix and just go to a garage and get it fixed!

There will be a thermostatic switch near the radiator. Bridge it , so that it comes on. But the best thing is to get a new switch.

easy, fit a wire directly to the ingnition live at the fuesbox, the same fuse that runs the radio!
#
OR, connect it to the sidelight bulb live, and when you put the sidelights on it will switch the fan on too! 2 switches in one!
