when im listerning to my music i have a wide and broad range of music, how come you go from one emotion to the next just by a click of the finger ... hope that explains my question
also i dont know about you but why does music alter the way you think and feel? even if your at a most angry/depressing state

well this is because music makes you think about the personal thought of the writer which causes you to stop thinking about what your thoughts and views are
if the music writer was angry then you become angry as you listen since his emotions are expressed through the lyric

I believe what you describe is common to almost everyone.
Exceptions would psychopaths lacking the ability to process the entire range of emotions.
But giving it some thought, a phrase about angels singing praises to God comes to mind.
I believe appreciation of music is something left over from before we were separated physically from God.
A means of communicating with the Creator in which everyone could participate.

music has lyrics and sounds that basically can describe every emotion. each song has a deep meaning and each meaning changes with your song. its like human emotions. music allows you to connect what is said in the song to how you are feeling in real life.

individually, song is my existence. could be related to memories & situations you've passed through, which were associated with certain songs ..
it does that to me as well ..
