I live in Irvine. I spend 1700 a month on a 1 bedroom in one of the nicer apartment complexes in town. Santa Ana, Fullerton, Anaheim is cheaper, but I like Irvine (and the rest of the southern part of O.C.) a lot more. Look on Craigslist for an apartment... they have really good deals sometimes!

it is okay that you made a mistake. I am from Irvine and it does tend to be very pricey. But if you have a great job or rich parents then you are good to go. An average 1 bedroom apartment costs about 1600-1800. Good luck finding a cheap one :) Try Santa Ana or Anaheim, they are slightly cheaper. I pay 1300 a month for my apartment.

I grew up in Orange county. Irvine wasn't so bad in the early '70's. Now you better be very well off.

that's all relative. i'm sure you can pack in 5 people in a 1-bedroom apt and it will be fairly cheap.

i live on my own in a 1-bedroom apartment that costs $1755/month.
