Check the simple things first. It might just be a wire off from the coil and putting it back will fix the problem.

If that's not the case, check the fuel. You might spray a little bit of starting fluid or WD-40 into the throat of the air filter, after removing it. If it tries to start, you have a fuel problem.

Next thing I'd check is the plugs by removing one of them. Look to see if it's fouled with fuel or dry an an ashy grey. If it's fouled with fuel, again, it's a fuel problem and flooding.

You are going to have to do a step by step troubleshooting process to find the problem as there are many things that can cause a "no start".
First, check for spark at one of the spark plugs. If spark is there, check for fuel pressure by installing a pressure gauge. If there is fuel pressure, then you need to check to see if the injectors are firing by using a noid light. The first step is probably as far as you can go without special testing equipment.

Maybe the alternator. You would probablly notice a drained battery though. Is this something that happens every time, or does it sometimes start. My father in law had a ford that would occasionaly die for no apparent reason. When it was running the diagnosic showed everything was fine. It turned out to be some sensor that would occassionaly short out.

Hi I'm no expert, but a friend of mine had a mustang and he had a starting problem. He found that there was a cut off in the boot (trunk as it's an American car) and the cut off had switched itself on. Hope that helps.

in conjunction with Ron's answer - we are working with basics fuel, oxy, heat . there is a fuel rail -and on that fuel rail is a fitting similar to the air stem on your tires. take the cap off and press down on it. if fuel comes out. you have fuel. next pull one of the Spark plugs. if you pumped the gas you may have gotten (sp) the spark plugs wet and no matter how much you sing and dance it will not start. they will have to be replaced. good luck

Its turning over but not starting? Maybe its not sparking, could be the spark plugs, or the ignition coil or something else to do with the distributor.
