The way poor people are imported & enslaved to end up with no rights, taking their passports which is against the law, men who think every woman is looking for sex & harrassing young women, the place is for rich people to visit what the poor people made, the price of rent is so high that 8 people share a tiny room full of bunk beds, just talking about Dubai makes me sick, in todays terms EXPLOITATION to the MAXIMUM & some thing needs to be done to help these poor people who are stopped from finding out their real rights as humans.

Traffic was the big killer for me but I'm now working from home so it's not too bad anymore.

It is pretty unpleasant during the summer though, must have been 44-45 degrees today although the humidity was pretty low.

My employer pays for my car and accomodation so I don't have any problems there either.

Worst thing is I live in Jebel Ali and have to get taxis evrytime I want a beer :(

They think they are "all that," and they aren't. I'll take Muscat and the wonderful Omanis any day of the week. Dubai is full of itself. In reality, it is just another crowded, over-developed city with a horrendous traffic problem and air quality that gets worse every day.

That all those future buildings aren't completed yet. You know, I don't want to wait years for the palms, infinity tower, and the burj dubai to be finnished. I am too impatient.

In particular order:
- Very expensive accommodation rent
- Extremely hot and humid in summer
- Rather expensive living costs (other than accommodation) such as meals, taxi, school, medical
- Traffic on rush hours

But then it depends on how much you earn, your lifestyle, and from where you're coming from. Some say they are comparable with their origin country (e.g. UK), but most don't.

The unbelievable traffic of course. Especially when it is 45C degrees and your a/c is broken!

I used to LOVE Dubai, but now, I started to dislike it.
