One reason is because they are, for the most part, anonymous, so they feel they can say things that they normally wouldn't without fear of reprisals. Also, some of them have no manners and are insensitive to the potential hurt feelings they can cause by what they consider to be cute or funny replies. They think it's fun to poke fun at others. It's a type of online bullying
Finally, it is a way, for some of them, to take out their own frustrations on a faceless individual. They think; "Yeah, I put him in their place."
They never realize that, in reality, all they are really doing is making themselves look like idiots.

I think they forget that there is a human with feelings on the other side of the screen. Basically it is a sign of our demoralizing society. People are just rude and unfeeling as a whole.

Because most on here. On actually Kids! Who think disrespecting others. is how to be seen as an Adult. So they show off their ability to trash-talk. Little to they realize. That most see them as the children that they are. Regardless of their actual age. They are still children

I think they have unfulfilled lives, and are bitter about many things so it's easy to take their anger, and frustration out here, because they are lonely, and have no one to vent on.... i bet they are mean in real life too.

because they CAN be.
Don't let it get to you, sometimes some people are just rude to be rude, but sometimes people are giving you an answer without sugar coating it.
