hey guys. I'm 27 male. I draw and one of m y favorite subjects is figure drawing. However i tend to get hot and sexual when i draw females. Just working on the shape of a girl makes me automaticallly hot.

It's good but i mean, i don't want to be feeling hot when i'm doing art.

It can't be helped. I've drawn since five years old and in my teens I sketched many a female figure in various costumes and dress--and undress. Each time, during the drawing, I'd have to get up for a cold glass of water to sooth my nerves.

That is simply one thing males must contend with because we are highly visual-aided when it comes to the opposite sex. God made us that way.

Put a brick on top of it and continue drawing.

You are taking the figure you are drawing & putting a person there. Your mind's eye needs to start seeing art, not people. Concentrate on shapes, oval, square, triangle, shading, etc. After you complete the drawing, then look at the finished drawing & think, I did a great job on this picture, like you would drawing a sunset or park.

I found after the 3rd (or so) life drawing session, it no longer becomes a big deal looking at a naked girl, but rather just another day (assuming they're not doing anything erotic, which they never do during a class).

use it. it's all about emotion. it will eventually subside once you get a little better and start challenging yourself more artisticly.
