The band? Well they were absolutely amazing. I loved them. Yes, I know I was what in Kindergarten when they were reaching their musical height, but that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate their music. Anyways, just as was the case with Hendrix, Joplin and Morrison, talent that was lost way too soon. Oh, and I love how Courtney Love refuses to release Kurt's songs he recorded before he died (hint the sarcasm). But yes. I love them. I give props to Dave Grohl for not letting the disintegration of Nirvana hold him back. He's doing some good work with the Foo Fighters.

I love them, but I'm burned out on them too. I'm really sick of all the Nirvana wanna be's. There were so many bands trying to copy them it was sickening. The only good thing about today's music is, the bands are trying something different.

I think they're a good band, but they're completely overrated. They helped bring in the "grunge" age, which obviously deserves respect, but honestly, most people out there have only heard of Nirvana since Kurt Cobain died (so called "suicide", though I don't believe it). It just proves the fact that burning out is supposedly better than fading out.
Same holds true for Elvis, Hendrix, and John Lennon, though they were all great in their time as well.

I like them. I'm not one of these people to say things like 'nirvana are the best grunge band!11' because I know there are others who are just as good (pearl jam, soundgarden, alice in chains etc) but yep I do still enjoy the music.
They were the first band I really got into after going through a pop, r n b stage haha glad i'm out of that one.
Songs I enjoy by them, well all of them :P but my favourite ones:
Come as you Are, Lithium, Drain You, All Apologies, About A Girl, Pennyroyal Tea, Polly, You Know You're Right, Sliver. >.< I'll stop there. Like I said, I enjoy most songs though.

I think Nirvana is the one that started Grunge, and also made some of the most timeless records ever, defintley Nevermind.
Kurt is one of the best singers in rock, and also one of the best cults in this world.
Best song: In Bloom

What do I think of Nirvana?
I had their 3 CDs ('Nevermind', Insesticide' and 'In Utero').
I saw them live in Nov. 1993. I still like their songs - but I do not praise Kurt Cobain as a god. I do not call their music "grunge" either...

I thought they were brilliant they were definitely the voice of that generation the fact that their songs are still popular show they had talent.
Kurt Cobain had a brilliant voice and a very good song writer.
His music meant something to us at the time and probably does to most teenagers still.

nirvana is waaaaay overrated.....
if they were a good band, one of them wouldn't be dead, one wouldn't have fallen off the face of the planet, and one wouldn't be making great music with a band better than nirvana ever hoped to be...
