You just have to get past each "urge" for a cigarette individually. Try and put all the money you would have spent on cigarettes in a jar and then after the first month, count it - you'll be amazed - then treat yourself. It does get easier and you will get to the stage where you suddenly remember you haven't thought about having a cigarette for a couple of days. That's a great feeling. I'm 10 months without smoking - feel so much better. Good luck and keep going!!!

Im into my 4th week now. Your doing well keep it up. Im on the 16hr patches, first few days were hard but ive got over the worst i think. If i get the urge for a cig i just stick a piece of chewing gum in my mouth. Good luck and dont give in x

People have told me that just quitting, without using anything is best. They said using patches and other aids just gets them addicted to a different habit.
