What? Of course, we would then become terrorists, wouldn't we?

One thing's for certain, "install democracy" is not how that mission would be described by western media. Even though America could certainly use some democratizing. It seems to only be "installing democracy" if it's a powerful country invading a poor country.
The ramifications would be tragic, with NATO forces 'nuking' the country involved. The corporate controlled US media would play it's patriotic role, demonizing the invading country and cheering for the administration.
The corporate media was pretty silent when the US orchestrated the takeover of elected democracies and installed fascist torture states (Chile 1973, Guatemala 1954, and others).
The US has a lot to learn about democracy before it could possible "install" it elsewhere. History has shown that what it really wants to do is install fascist client states, that are friendly to big business and pure capitalism.

The real question is , what would all the people that say we should ban guns or don't own guns would do. They would die or join with the invaders. That is a shame, but that is reality. As for me and mine.... Praise tha Lord and Pass the Ammunition.....I have been stock piling what My family will need to last for a while until we can start raiding the stores for what we run out of. That is how it will go, each to his own. The cities will be the first to fall, but the rural areas will hold out and repel the invaders. The police will be no help, just look what happened in N.O. after Katrina. The cops where the biggest problem down there. Learn to live off the land as that is the only way to make through.

I've asked this question on this forum myself. Most people don't see any similarity to the events in Iraq. Even tho 70% of Americans don't support Bush, if an Army invaded the US and removed the government, there would be civil unrest on a major scale.

Well America is already a democracy of sorts, so there would be resistance to the invasion, not resistance to the ideaology. Far better would be to ask what would happen if someone invaded and tried to impose communism or socialism. Many Americans believe these to be utterly morally wrong - and so would oppose all those fellow Americans who supported (in their eyes collaborated) with the ideaologies. THIS is what starts a civil war, not resistance to an occupier.

An armed guerilla resistance movement would quickly emerge. It would be directed at expelling the invaders and overthrowing the "democracy" (pubbet government" the invaders installed. And the propaganda machine of the invader would no doubt call these freedom fighters "terrorists," "insurgents," etc.
Soundfamilier?
