I am not computer savvy, with that said; I am going to the beach for work/vacation, I have road runner broadband dsl or something.I would like to take my computer with me and the hotel I will be staying at has wireless internet. Is my hp able to connect without any other devices-wireless card, etc? Will it work down there and how do I go about setting it up?

Please don't call me dumb, serious answers please!

According to HP that unit should have wireless so you just need to click the wireless connector and connect to the Hotel.

It really is that easy.

yes you can connect to a wireless hotspot(open wifi network)

but besure your system is a wifi ready system...i mean it has a wifi card intalled.

then if you want to connect to a wifi hotspot... click on" my network neighborhood"

then "properties"

then you will see at the upper left side pane " wireless network" click on it..it will detect any wifi network...

there are wifi network that is open and locked

you will see if it is open when the icon has no "locked" icon.

also you can inquire at the hotel reception if you need a internet connection. or ask any open hotspot place..(ussually coffee shop)

hope this help you.
