It is well known that women who live in close quarters with each other tend to
synchronize their menstrual cycles. What is not known so well is the exact
mechanism by which this occurs. The best idea is that there must be a small
molecule that acts as a pheromone. The idea is that it stimulates the lining of
the nose (like any other molecule which transmits smell information) which in
turn sends a chemical message to the brain. The brain, in turn, sends its
hormone messages to the ovaries and uterus, thereby changing the cycle.
Why this mechanism evolved in the first place is a difficult question. It
probably had something to do with keeping all the women of a social group or
clan on the same cycle, maybe for child-rearing purposes.

The synchronisation of menstrual cycles is due to the pheromones that women secrete when living together.
The original reason for this was when hominids lived in packs and were hunter gatherers moving from place to place it was important that everyone became pregnant at about the same time. This meant that the time to move could be chosen so that there were were few if any very pregnant females. Most packs of animals still operate this system, it is called the mating season.

It's completely scientific! I remeber learning about this during A Level biology.
The release of pheromones during a period seems to make other girls (who are more susceptive during ovulation) around you respond by starting their own menstrual cycles. Given time, any number of girls will "align" and start and stop their cycles at the same time.

Cause when we were monkeys ( some men still are) we lived in groups and its always safer for groups of females to birth all together. because we were food to other bigger animals back then. Like other mammals around today like wildebeast. Well thats my theory anyway dunno how true it is lol

It's sympathetic cycle! If u r same age, share the same environment, eat the same diet, and follow the same routine, perhaps it has effect on your mens. cycle too. There can't b anyother explanation I think.
