It used to be between 20-25; but now most authorities are suggesting later. The primary reason is that between 25-28 you have secured yourself in a career and can financially afford to be comfortable with some money in the bank. Hopefully with those few extra years you have matured and know who you are and will be ready to settle down. Good luck and don't feel pressured until you're comfortable to say "I do."

At the very least, wait until you are 30. At that point, take a hard look at your situation and decide if you really think you want to risk your financial future on a marriage that will have a 50% chance of failure and could leave you decimated emotionally, as well in capability to support yourself in the event of divorce.

Marriage is not much benefit to men anymore. Divorce laws and courts are slanted towards the benefit of women. Be very careful and completely selfish in choosing a person to spend the rest of your life with. Don't settle. Don't let anyone try any tactics to make you feel negatively for waiting and doing what is best for you.

Probably yes, most people would consider getting married on a mature age when they are stable financially and emotionally. Some ages differ like late 20's to early 30's , it always depends on the person.

Considering everything that comes with marriage, maturity is the best defense. Maturity brings experience and experience teaches us what is acceptable and what isn't. Marriage works best when both parties are mature.

I first married at 17 - Can you say 'What was I thinking?'
and Who was I kidding? Only myself, if I I'd known what I was getting into...I would have tore out of there like Satan himself was chasing me down.

At what age should people get married, I truly believe it depends on the people, maturity happens at different times for different people so there's no magic number I can say.

I want to get married when I got 35 years old... To old really to be married... but I guess by then I'll be financially stable and well-to-do already... but basically age doesn't give you the maturity needed for a marriage... Maturity is vital in the sense that it enables you to be more open-minded, have sense of responsibility, and self love...

I was almost 30 when I married and my husband was 39. I'm soooo glad I waited. When I think back on my ex's and how much I've grown since I broke up with them, I can't imagine how different my life would be if I'd settled down earlier. I think "mature marriages" have a better chance of success, too.

I don't think that there is a 'best ' age. All I know is that there is much more in life than just to marry.

i think that yo should get married when you feel ready. But i think that the key thing is if you want children in a marriage. I would get married in my twenties because i don't want to have children without being married but its everyones personal opinion.
