I want to write something in a card .. i thought of this

Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget
falls drop by drop upon the heart,
until, in our own despair,
against our will,comes wisdom
through the awful grace of God ...

Which was Bobby kennedys words to a rally when he had to inform them of the death of Martin Luther King .. wat do you think?

I think you have too high of an opinion of yourself. Go ahead, let yourself off the hook. Your words don't have to heal your friends sadness. Just be there. Give him/her a hug, and say a prayer.

Nice words but for your friend--just say a nice heartfelt I am sorry to hear about your loss. There are so many relatives and friends that get together at a time like this, the words will be blur and hardly focused on long enough to mean what you wanted to say. keep it simple and allow your friend to grieve and then get back into life--that's where you can really be a big help. Kennedy's words were for an entire nation, but hardly remembered past the day they were read. They were meant to soften the news that shocked millions of people--hoping to diffuse a volitile condition---your dilemma is simple---a few words from a friend should be fine. good luck

Death... is part of the cycle of life. There is no question about that. But death leads to a better place- and relief from the trials and tribulations of living. But in spite of death, life goes on, and on. It must. And it is better to celebrate the fact that a friend or loved one had lived, and had brought joy to one's life, than to dwell or their passing... for too long. And the dead do not want to be mourned... for too long. It saddens them, and your tears put out the flames of their candles, which they need to see to find their way... in the dark beyond. Mourn... but then live, as the deceased want those still living to do. Honor those whom have passed on... by living a good and full and happy life. Mourn... but then move on... to living.

it's a nice thought, but that wouldn't comfort me
most of the time a hug is the best way to comfort your fiend

Sorry i dont like it at all...Its so impersonal...Write something from your heart, not someone else's mouth....
