Yes.

There are times when I need someone to pay attention to me, for whatever reason. Depression, loneliness, just a need for someone to talk to... and people are much to wrapped up in themselves to notice and I'm too modest to demand someones attention of me.

Unfortunately for me, I seem to have some friends who only want to talk about themselves 24/7 and pay no attention to others feelings and lives.

Those are the times when I feel I'm invisible, to those who claim to be a friend and yet... don't make an effort to be one.

It just happened to me the other day at work. I was part of a team doing a special project, and afterward, the divison manager sent out an email to the department thanking everyone on the team by name but me.

Yup - I am a middle-aged man and young people especially females seem to look right through me and bump into me in shops and walk away without saying anything as if they had just bumped into a pillar or something.

You don't see me do you? Yes, all the time, and for two weeks I've floated around in a daze, like waiting for the other shoe to drop. I just can't get a handle on it...

Yes, especially in the supermarket where people think they can just stand right in front of me or push their trolleys through me.

Perhaps I should just walk out with loads of stuff without paying.
