Taiwan can resolve the crisis easily by stopping the beating of its old, tired independence drum, stop biting the hand that feeds them, and negotiate with China. Taiwan can maintain its status as a Special Autonomous Region under the "One Country Two Systems" policy.

Taiwan to become an independent nation and China to stop dreaming and acting like a big bully.
I don't understand why China keeps wanting to take over Taiwan when it already has such a large piece of land (which it can't control well).
And Justin Y, you just can't wait to see the world in chaos, right?

Recognize each other and let Taiwan go into UN. Taiwan and China can talk each other in UN.

I agree with Matt of Asia. There is no crisis other than a child who wants to have his toy, which he can't have, so he goes ballistics. This is indeed the behavior of a spoiled child, no matter how good his intentions may be. Somebody should tell him to eat his porridge.
Cut to the chase, Taiwan can manage on its own.

I think Justin Y should wash his mouth with soap. Reading his profile, he looks like a god. He has never been to Taiwan. He also doesn't know that it is thanks to the Taiwanese investors that economy is getting better in China.
If Justin wants to keep his business going with Taiwanese AND with other people around the world, he should respect other people's opinion and understand that Taiwan is a country with its own people, culture and government.
Except that the people look Chinese, and speak Mandarin and Taiwanese...Taiwan is NOT China or Chinese property!

Another UN bid coming soon, this time Taiwan going by the name "Taiwan" , might help Taiwan gain independence... The UN can be good for something if they put their minds to it.

Taiwan is only part of China no matter how they change. China should govern Taiwai by war.
