I am. Have you done it yet, or been interested enough to look at someone elses profile, only to have your hopes and dreams smattered all because it's marked private? It does take the fun out of the yahoo life.

i was thinking about the same thing. I've had it on private for a couple of days. not anymore. i hate when i like a person's questions and want to answer more to see that they have it on private. it makes me think 'what have i done to you?. they can just block the ones are afraid of.

You're right. That feature, along with blocking and reporting, as well as deleting accounts doesn't do a thing to stop trolls. If anything, it helps them keep doing what they do best: annoy you. Now, I'll be honest: my profile is private, and it's private because I want it that way. Will it stop people from making negative comments, violation notices, or even people stalking me? No, of course not. And just like I will keep my profile private, people will do whatever they feel will help them sleep at night. Great question though!!!

No, I am not making my profile private. The biggest reason why not is because of certain categories I do a lot of answering in.

Yes I have made mine private. I know they've taken the fun out of things, but I just had one too many e-mails going, "I've been looking through all your Q&A, and I think that you ... etc etc etc".
So you can thank all the stalkers and perverts for ruining it for you!

I make mine private only when needed. And if I really want to see some one's profile I just temporarily add them to my contacts.
