I think there are many countries who could say they have at times produced great warriors. The Russians definately fought a long, hard, cold battle and experienced great losses. I think any group of people who fought as hard to protect their homeland is worthy of respect. WWII was full of "great warriors" from many of they Allied countries. I think your question is too vague.

For the benefit of others: I think our questioner believes Russians experienced the "worst" because they lost more people than any other nation. 20 million Russians died in WWII. To put that in perspective... 16 million Jews were murdered in WWII. Still "worst" is a relative term. The Russians largely died on the battlefield. I think I would prefer that than to die in a gas chamber. So "worst" takes on a new meaning regardless of number.

Had to reply your spelling makes for amusement and that is not a put down since I am DYSLEXIC CIXELSYD - - - -

The Russians are good Warriors - - - they have three thousand of history testifying to their bravery valon willingness to serve. When they are properly led they can be terryfying.

As to the Russians getting the 'worst part.' What does that leave Jews Gypsies and other 'civillians' plus the bulk of Europe? The Russians lost a lot but they had a lot to give. The Poles actually lost a higher percentage of her population. And her Army had Warriors. If France and Britain had really 'Cared' theyt could have sent their entire air fleet to Poland in August 1939.

IMAGINE - - - if Britain and France had sent their Air Force over Germany to 'attend' some event in Poland. With the airforce of England and France parked on Polish soil it is likely that even a meglamaniac such as Hitler would have added a darker stain to those brown trousers.

Peace...

They didn't really take the worst part becuase, true, they had to keep the Germans out of their country but Brittain (and Germany) were being bombed every night, there was the resistance in France. No one took the worst of it, it was a terible war. Acually it is probably the people in the concentration camps, but if you mean countries it was pretty equal.
