Does anyone know how to make cheerleading pom poms?

i need to make some for my dance showcase! please HELP

You have to find a store where you can buy crepe paper, it comes in a flat package. You then cut it to the proper ribbon widths, bind it together on one end, cut the loops and voila, you have a pom pom. Of course, you need to get the right colors.

get the colours that you want in crepe paper and lay out each colour on top of each other, probably about 10 sheets in total. roll the paper from one end to the other loosely and tape the middle all the way around tightly. cut thin strips out each side right the way up to the tape. the more you cut out, the thinner the pom pom will be. when you have done both sides, give it a good old shake, and there you have it!
you could even use carrier bags if you like, its less expensive!

You could buy them cheaply at Sports Authorty - - - that said most cheerleader pom poms s are strips of plastic/vinyl poked through holes in a plastic ring that looks a lot like a baby's teething ring. If you insist on making Pom Poms then cut a sheet of pliable yet strong plastic into six to ten inch (it is a preference thing) strips, no more than a quarter inch wide. About thirty strips, bundle them tightly at the two or four inch mark. Wrap the shorter end of the strips in Duck / Duct Tape, can color coordinate with imagination. White strips, blue duct tape for example. Make handle out of Duct tape, can stiffen with a strip of cardbord in core.

no but u can buy them which is probably cheaper then making them. you can buy them at any sports store which pom poms cost around 10 to 15 dollars.
