If a person gets a toenail removal, does the toe look ugly. Like nasty. Like you would wear sandals, if you had style. Can I get a picture or something. Please I dont wanna see ingrowns. They make me hieve. I just need to see a toe that doesnt have a nail. But like warn me if it looks ugly or nasty. Thank you!

I have had four of my toenails removed. And in time they do not look bad and I never have any more pain. To not have the constant pain and having to be cut on every month is worth having a different looking toe. I don't think they look ugly and have never had anybody comment on it.

I had all my toenails removed because of severe nail fungus and ingrown nails. 10 years later, it's smooth skin and doesn't hurt a bit. The surgery is painful and it takes about 6 weeks to be able to wear a closed toe shoe and it is ugly and raw for about 3 weeks. It's the best thing I ever did -I went from a size 9 shoe to a 7.5 because I didn't have to have extra room for painful toes. Good luck.

i had an ingrown on both sides of my right toe a few years ago. the dr. i went to wanted to take out the whole thing, but i refused, and had just the sides removed instead. my toenail is definitely smaller than my other one, and it bugs me. I have seen no-nailed toes, and yes, its icky......especially when that person paints all the other toenails.

i had my toe nail removed and it sore now and ugly but better than having in growning toenail

Yes it looks bad. Don't do it unless you have to. But if there is medical justification, do it and move on.
