You betcha! I am very loyal to my family, and if anyone hurts my family, I am out for revenge. Now the in-laws, that's another story. They're not my blood relations, so I consider them like water, particularly when they insult my blood family!

um...well one of my friends has misused this line. her sister is gonna be a junior (i'm gonna be a senior) and she graduated the year before this year. her sister is upset at me for no apparent reason and now my friend is upset at me just because her sister complained to her. her little sister brings all sorts of stupid middle school drama with her and i dont want anything to do with it. but yea, i do usually put my family first, but i wouldn't to that extent without hearing the other persons side of the story.

I believe that there comes a point in everyone's life when they should still help their family, but they should also make a life of their own.

Generally, yes.
But some people have the most appalling families who should never ever be put first.

Always did... but that can be a huge mistake! Though I believe in forgiveness, some people (and their abuses) must be avoided in order to retain sanity...
Still, if a real need arose, I would be there.
