I use Alesse because everything else makes me really sick and my Gyno told me it has the lowest dose, but be careful u can't double up on this one and it must be taken everyday at the same time ! DON'T USE DEPO PROVERA IT IS POISON !!!

The two birth control pills that I know of that have low amounts of estrogen are Mircette and Alesse. I did Mircette for 3 years and other than the regular breakthrough bleeding I had on it (because the amount was too low for me) I liked it a lot.

The one I'm on...it has ZERO hormones! It's a copper IUD (Mirena, I think). It gets placed inside your uterus by a doctor and that's it--you're protected for up to ten years. Within that ten years, if you want to have a child you can just have the doctor take it out. Otherwise, if you go ten years without wanting children, you would have to get it replaced.

I'm set till 2016!!

I agree. I took Alesse and it is the lowest dose.
