It IS illogical to cut part of the most sensititive part of the male body!
Of course there are loads of anthropoligical theories and then there is the religious and cultural history of the practice.
We get used to seeing things a certain way. I'm used to circumcised guys. I used to work as an erotic dancer and I've seen lots and lots of CОCK. Despite all the exposure, I still found the uncut ones to look weird until the guys pulled the foreskin back.
If our parents cut off our index fingers at birth to prevent nose picking, then we'd learn to live without them, too. We's also learn that the pinkie finger makes a fine substitute tool for this activity.
You're just wondering about this because you don't have a girlfriend, right?

My opinion is that it shouldn't be done on infants unless there's an immediate medical need to do so, and circumcision is rarely medically necessary. If it's on a consenting adult then fine, it's that guy's personal choice.
I'm uncircumcised and I've never had any problems with it, and most uncircumcised guys don't have problems. A lot of the claims in support of circumcision or against the foreskin are too overexaggerated. The uncircumcised penis is very easy to keep clean and is not more prone to infections/STDs if you maintain hygiene and practice safe sex (links 1, 2).
And the foreskin contains a lot of nerve endings that contribute to sexual sensitvity (link 3). Furthermore, several studies indicate that the foreskin may play a positive role in the sexual satisfaction/pleasure of not only the man, but the woman as well (links 4, 5, 6).
So as long as the foreskin is working, one maintains good genital hygiene, and practices safe sex, it seems like being uncircumcised can only really be a good thing. Besides, if circumcision were so great or necessary, then why is 70-80% of the world's male population uncircumcised?

I have been with men that were circumsized and those that were not and as long as you keep it clean it doesn't matter. Sex can be just as good, sometimes better with a man with foreskin, just think thats the way it was made, so why change a good thing. But, remember the keeping it clean because if you don't a woman can easily get a bacterial infection from you and also if you don't pull down the skin and clean it good a woman will not wanna go down on you! I was fortunate enough that the uncircumsized man I was with was very clean and I never had any problems ;) i have also been told that a man with forskin tends to be more sensitive and that makes for better sex for him, so I have heard.

Circumcision is male genital mutilation and should be outlawed in all civilized nations. It is hard to imagine how this bizarre practice ever enjoyed such a surge of popularity, but now that we know it's negative consequences it should be consigned to the history of barbaric bodily disfigurement, along with bound feet and elongated necks. And, of course, female genital mutilation. No infant should ever be mutilated by his/her parents.

I don't approve of it being performed on infants. It is the very definition of mutilation and totally unnecessary and cruel.
If an adult guy wants to be circumcised that's their choice. I still think it's unnecessary, but if they have phimosis or they've been brainwashed into thinking they need to be like that to be clean or something, that's their choice. But generally I'm against it.

I am uncut and I love my foreskin.
I used to feel awkward about it when I was young, but now that I am older, I am very glad my parents left the decision of whether or not to be circumcised up to me.
Leave your baby boys intact and let them decide on their own, they will thank you later, I know I did!

It's a horrible practice.
I feel one should not be allowed to cut parts off of someone's body without their informed consent, be it the mother or the father irrelevant of their intentions. It is an irreversible process. How will the child view your decision when he grows up? See this video: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=137650&fr=ybr_sbc
It's perpetuated by culture, just as FGM in other areas and the majority of people who force it on their children do not know the true facts.
It should be the choice of the victim as to whether or not they want to undergo the procedure. There are many men who try to undo the damage done to them every year: http://www.norm.org/
It is wrong to force an irreversible process onto them that they may not undergo as a adult if they still had the choice.
Parents should not have the right to force it on to their children. Should they have the right to circumcise girls? It is comparable to type 2 female circumcision (see below).
No medical institution in the world actually recommends the practice.
Let's have a look at medical associations in the developed world. The British Medical Association, Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Canadian Paediatric Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, Australian College of Paediatrics and Australasian Association of Paediatric Surgeons. Every one of them recommends AGAINST performing the procedure. Their positions on the procedure can be found here: http://www.circumcision.org/position.htm
Here is a video of the operation. Watch it if you want to learn more. Please do watch it.

Or this video:
http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=352478&fr=ybr_sbc
It is not just a little snip here and there. Watch the above video of a circumcision in progress.
The foreskin keeps the glans soft and moist and protects it from trauma and injury. Without this protection, the glans becomes dry, calloused, and desensitized from exposure and chafing.
Specialized nerve endings in the foreskin enhance sexual pleasure.
The foreskin may have functions not yet recognized or understood.
"Circumcision removes the most sensitive parts of the penis and decreases the fine-touch pressure sensitivity of glans penis. The most sensitive regions in the uncircumcised penis are those parts ablated by circumcision. When compared to the most sensitive area of the circumcised penis, several locations on the uncircumcised penis that are missing from the circumcised penis were significantly more sensitive." Circumcision removes as much as 75% of sensation [ http://www.nocirc.org/touch-test/bju_6685.pdf ].
The foreskin reduces the force required by the penis to enter the vagina. It also increases the sexual enjoyment of the female partner. Here is a study to back this up: http://www.cirp.org/library/anatomy/ohara/
Performing circumcision on a child can and does result in the deaths of children due to blood loss and/or failure of the immune system.
http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=512542
Approximately 230 American males die every year because of circumcision. [ http://www.sexuallymutilatedchild.org/deathsdo.htm , http://www.cirp.org/library/death/ ] This is a meaningless and very sad loss of life.
It can and does result in very significant scaring.
It can and does result in sexual problems later in life.
Circumcised males have a much higher rate of sexual dysfunction and premature ejaculation. [ http://www.cirp.org/library/sex_function/ ]
A lot of the information perpetuated about it preventing diseases is false.
The study that you are less susceptible to aids if you are circumcised is flawed. Here is a discussion of the report and its methodology by "Doctors Opposing Circumcision": http://www.doctorsopposingcircumcision.org/info/HIVStatement.html .
Have a read through their statement. It is very informative. It shows the methodological flaws and poor conclusion in the report that the WHO has jumped upon. Everything is aptly sourced.
Men may often feel a need to justify their own circumcision by the generation of claims of health benefits.[ http://www.cirp.org/library/psych/goldman1/ ]
"The medical literature is full of protective claims for various diseases, such as sexually transmitted disease , male and female cancers, and urinary tract infection. All such claims have been disproved."[ http://www.doctorsopposingcircumcision.org/info/HIVStatement.html ]
"The United States has one of the highest rates of male circumcision and also one of the highest rates of HIV infection in the developed world, suggesting that circumcision is having exactly the opposite effect. Conversely, Finland and Japan have some of the lowest rates of circumcision and also some of the lowest rates of HIV/AIDS."
Condoms have been proven to be an effective means of combating AIDS.
The vast majority of the world(83%) is not circumcised.
There is no good reason to perform male genital mutilation.

You mentioned about females as well so I'm just going to quote this.
"The foreskin has long been known to be valuable to the female partner.[8, 16] The presence of the foreskin is reported to be stimulating to the female.[41, 45, 55] Women are more likely to experience vaginal dryness during sex with a circumcised partner.[24, 28, 62] The unnatural dryness may make coitus painful and result in abrasions.[28, 41, 50] The vaginal dryness may be mistakenly attributed to female arousal disorder.[55, 62] O'Hara & O'Hara report that the female partner is less likely to experience orgasm when the foreskin is not present and more likely to experience orgasm or even multiple orgasms when the foreskin is present.[41]" [ http://www.cirp.org/library/sex_function/ ]
A link to all research articles referenced in the paragraph are available in my sources below.
Additional opinions in the difference in sex with a circumcised male and an intact male can be found here: http://www.mothersagainstcirc.org/sex-cut-uncut.htm
