no...it seems the same situation of allen iverson the past year, awfull team with an excellent player that is tired to lose and want to came away...do you think that now phila without the answer and with andre miller and joe smith will have more chance to win the championship?...i guess that the same thing will happen to the lakers...in my opinion the best thing to do in this case is to crete a team with usefull player that have a specific job, guided by a very good coach (phil is a very good coach)...do you remember the sixers of the 2001 with mutombo, snow, mckie, bell and the ugly tyrone hill?...

To be honest, Lakers aren't winning a championship in the immediate future. Spurs, Suns and Mavericks will dominate the western conference for the next 2-3 years at least.
Suppose you traded Kobe for LeBron (which is impossible), better team chemistry may elevate Lakers to the Rockets-Jazz level but definetely not Spurs-level.
The truth is there are not many players in the nba who are better than Kobe. And nobody will trade you a whole ready team for Kobe.

By building a team around Kobe now, you have a chance to win a championship in the next 3-5 years. By trading Kobe, it pushes the clock further to 10 years.

They need to give him better support and quit making stupid deals like the one that brought Kwame to the Lakers or the stupid signing of Vlad for that much money.

The Lakers have won championships before Kobe was traded to the club from the Hornets, and they will win championships after he leaves. As for the immediate future, if the Lakers trade Kobe they will get great players in return. I don't think they'll let him go for chump players. If they get the right players in, with the coaching they will compete.

If they keep Kobe, they'll probably win one in the next 5 years. If they trade him, they will eventually get another one, but that'll be a long time away.

I think Kobe will win 1 more championship, 1 season MVP, and 1 finals MVP before he retires, and that'll be it. He'll never break the 100 point mark.

I think it won't make that much difference. Kobe is a good player, but it will take more than one player to win a championship.

The Lakers need more than one good starter and they need a better bench. Kobe could be a more generous player, but he certainly has the basic skills to help the Lakers win a championship.

Depends who they got in return. At this point, it probably wouldn't be much because the other teams would have the leverage in negotiations, knowing that the Lakers would want to be rid of Kobe because he's such a disruption.

Forget about any deals with Western Conference teams. Why would they want to help the Lakers be a contender again? And just who in the weaker Eastern Conference is actually available?

Kobe isn't in his top..his top replaced into wasted while he had no group help, now he can take a seat on the decrease back-burner until finally he's important, because of the fact the lakers could nevertheless be an excellent 8 group without Kobe at this element. every person who says "it somewhat is their final danger to win a championship" is in many cases crammed with it. communities re-gadget while its necessary, think of concerning to the Spurs, Robinson replaced into meant to be the golden cost ticket to a championship, even with the undeniable fact that it replaced into 12 years after he replaced into drafted (10 years after he started enjoying) that the spurs won their first championship, and that they've been long being discredited, asserting it replaced into their "final danger" now they have 4 in 10 years.
