My goodness - coming from a person named "gg allin" - I wonder if it is the hate you are opposed to or just the teachers who hate students.

In every class there often is a student who really doesn't want to be there, for various reasons, but takes his/her frustration out on the most visible target - the teacher. Some teachers go for months/school terms including those students as part of the class and encouraging them to participate, only to find out these students do not even include the teachers in their world of learning.

Knowlege can come from even the most ignorant of sources. It only takes a class or two to realize if your teacher knows his subject and is willing to help you learn it. Unfortunately, many of the students who do not want to be in the classes waste their time, their classmates' time, and their teachers' time too before they do anything about leaving/transferring/adapting.

For many a good teacher who loves teaching, hating a student is purely a waste of time, since in their classes there are others who want to learn, and their time is better spent on helping those students.

I know this is from seven years ago, but I don't think all teachers hate their students. I just wanted to comment on a post that's seven years old. This is awesome!

In the US we have had about two decades of political correctness and this nonsense where all students are supposed to be advanced whether they can do the work or not. Hence, the huge explosion in private schools where parents can find out if their child is being educated or just made to feel good at whatever level, like a never ending daycare. At around the junior year of high school they start to wonder how the system must have failed their child because they never learned anything and have dim prospects for college, where you are supposed to pass classes, or technical training where math skills might be important. The whole idea that students and their parents sit around wondering if the teacher hates them probably stems from the teacher expecting some kind of progress and work. The questioner has no command spelling or grammar and thinks that maybe the teacher hate him/her. My guess is the teacher is trying to get you to learn something and you are not interested, only in touchy feely feelings and warm fuzzy sayings. Get off your butt and at least learn to spell. God I hope you are not in high school.

Well, not all teachers hate students, for starters!

But all teachers probably take a dislike to certain students in their classes, because they're human beings too, you know. Do YOU like EVERYONE you have to deal with? Of course not.

The things that used to really annoy me were students who stopped other students from learning by wanting to be the centre of attention all the time. That's REALLY selfish. And also students who made personal remarks about me to try to upset me, when I hadn't done anything to deserve it. If the teacher is actually trying to do their job properly and the student/s don't want to give him or her a chance, that's just unfair.

Of course, there are teachers who shouldn't be teachers, who are just plain mean and bad at their job. They DO hate all students. But don't treat all your teachers like they hate you, hey? Give them a chance first.

Why do you hate homework?
Don't be silly.
Teachers may sometimes be impatient or terse... but hate? That's pretty strong.
A teacher was once a student just like you... they went through elementary, middle and high school and then at least four years of college... then they got a job teaching and they're still in school.
They've been in school since they were 4 or 5 years old!
Imagine that!
Especially if the teacher is older... just think of how much time they spent in school learning & re-learning.
Life is a series of lessons, whether you're in school or not.
Teachers perhaps get frustrated when they see someone wasting time or just taking up space.
You will never know how important an education is until you're lacking in one.
If you apply yourself and make a solid effort and ask for help when you need it, you will see that your teachers don't hate you... they will respect you. They will see that all their efforts have not fallen on deaf ears.
YOU have to make the effort to do your very best.
Teachers don't hate you.

Teachers are humans first which often is ignored by others. What annoys you probably annoys teachers as well but magnify that by 33 students at one time. Some teachers have better classroom control and can ignore or act appropriately in handling sarcastic students. Whereas others allow the behavior to escalate into something which would appear as if the teacher dislikes the student because she/he allowed the behavior to get out of control. However I have worked with some teachers who brought their personal life to school and took it out on everyone not just students, so don't take it personal. If the teacher dislikes a student she/he probably dislikes or has problems with some of their co-workers as well. In essence they should leave their personal life at home or take better control of their emotions. Hate is a powerful word with very serious negative connotations.

teachers don't hate their students but they hate them in their wrongdoings.Especially when their students fell in their class that the teachers thinks that they also failed on their obligations to make them learn and knowledgeable.
