I would say the Cowboys between 92 - 96. They won 5 straight NFC East titles, including 3 Super Bowls. Aikman, Smith, Irvin, Johnston, Sanders, Lett, Brown. They were the total package. and...what would be the Cowboys nickname? AMERICA'S TEAM They earned that name by being the greatest dynasty ever.

There are a number of dynasties throughout th history of the NFL and each dominated the league in their own way in their own era. As far as the greatest dynasty of all time, it's a close call but i give it to Vince Lombardi's Packers. Here's why:

Between 1959-1967, Vince Lombardi and the Packers completely dominated the NFL. In that 9 year span, the Packers appeared in 6 NFL championships games; winning 5 of them and the only team to ever win 3 championships in a row (65-66-67 and they also accomplished this in 29-30-31). They also won the first two Superbowls. Lombardi posted an amazing 9-1 (.900) record in that playoffs that to this day only Bill Belichick has surpassed as a better winning percentage with a 12-1 (.923). They had numeroud players that redefined their positions, setting the standard for what players should be like. These players include Paul Hourning, Jim Taylor, Forrest Gregg, Jerry Kramer, Ray Nitschke, Dave Robinson, Herb Adderley and WIllie Wood. The Packers were always the favorite to win it all every year, and they nearly fulfilled it every year.

Of course there are a lot of really great dynasties and many people could make possibly very good arguements that there are some better than the Packers. But when you think of dynasty, your not talking about a team that dominated for one season, or went to a couple of superbowl in a 10-15 year span, your talking about a team that literally dominated the competiton every single year, the ONLY team predicted to win it all, and that a championship/Superbowl victory was the only thing thet wanted and anything else was a huge dissapointment. That was the Packers of the 60's and thats why they are the best dynasty.

The Green Bay Packers with their 12 NFL titles including 3 Super Bowl wins. In the 1960's Vince Lombardi guided the Packers to 3 NFL Titles, 2 Super Bowl wins, and the only NFL franchise to win 3 straight titles in league history from 1965 to 1967. This franchise even has a trophy named after a hall of fame coach ( Vince Lombardi). Individuals must remember before the Super Bowl began teams still played for championships. Therefore with the total number of championships this is the dynasty pf all time.

First off. GJ dude, your wrong about Broncos being only team to play in 70's 80's and 90's Super Bowls. So did the Redskins, and we actually won in two of those decades. Redskins represented in 3 decades with 5 Super Bowls, 2 back to back, and won 3 of them. Though a Dynasty they are not.

San Fransisco is the greatest Dynasty, next is Pittsburg, then Pat-thetics, and then no more.

Greatest teams though, Browns, Bears, Packers! Not in any particular order.

Honorable mention. Buffallo Bills. Only team to reach 4 consectutive Super Bowls, a feat that will never be seen again. They dominated a whole Conference like no one else. Yet they lost to the same Division every time. Early 90's had some of the best teams, players, and games.

The San Francisco 49ers of the 80s were the greatest dynasty of all time...4 Super Bowl wins...The greatest QB an WR ever to play the game(Joe Montana, Jerry Rice)...and that is non-biased...because I am a Pats fan...Now, ask me again if the Pats get 5 Super Bowl wins or more in the Belichick/Brady era...

guffaw...the colts...the NFL's answer to the Atlanta Braves...

The Steelers of the 70's was akin to the Baltimore Ravens in 2000...an astounding defense and great offensive management. The 49ers and Cowboys had crazy offenses that put defenses on their backs and changed the opposing teams' offensive game plans...the Patriots have had the answers to their opponents with mediocre individual talent making an unstoppable team...

The greatest dynasty????

The Denver Broncos, baby...the ONLY team to appear in the Super Bowl in the 70's, 80's and 90's...and soon to be 00's

Hmm...not sure everyone here knows what the term "dynasty" means. Oh well.

I've gotta go with the Steelers, '74-'80. 4 Super Bowl appearances, 4 Super Bowl wins. That roster has more Hall of Famers than I can count.

P.S. I'm only counting after the NFL-AFL merger. Otherwise the Browns of the 50's (AFL) and Vince Lombardi's Packer teams in the 60's (pre-merger NFL) easily are the two best.

Am a big packers fan. That being said, the greatest team ever had to be the 85-86 Bears. The greatest dynasty ever? Terry Bradshaw and company-1974, 1975 and 1976. They were great!
