I have always been a huge fan of No Doubt. I wasn't sure how Gwen was going to do with a solo career. Well she has been awesome, better than ever. I love her 2 solo CD's.
I went to her concert 1 1/2 years ago for "Love, Angel, Music, Baby" when she was pregnant, but hadn't confirmed it yet. She gave a killer performance.
Then last night I was in Irvine, CA & got to see her perform again. It was a phenomenal concert. Akon opened up for her. She gave a superb performance. She then introduced her band & dancers.
The crowd went nuts for an encore. Then you hear "I'm Just A Girl" start & you see Tony Kanal on the big screen & we went insane. Then you look around & there was Tom & Andrew. They went nuts with "It's My Life" & "Spiderwebs".
The best part was the No Doubt surprise.
After she sang "I'm Just A Girl" she yelled "Surprise" & everyone was so pumped hearing No Doubt. She thanked the crowd earlier for letting her make 2 dance CD's & confirmed the next record will be a No Doubt record.
Stay hooked because Gwen can give it all on her own & only seems to be better with the amazing No Doubt sound they give....

For me it is kind of the opposite. I have been a No Doubt fan since the beginning and I got so excited when I found out Gwen was going solo! No Doubt was amazing but Gwen's new CDs have introduced a totally new sound and type of music that never would have developed if she stayed in No Doubt. I love how she can succeed on her own and not just be the token girl of an otherwise all boy band.

I think Gwen is better on her own too. I didn't really listen to No Doubt that much but I had the Rock Steady album, which l started listening too after she went solo. Her L.A.M.B. album is excellent and one of my favorites. I'm not a big fan of this new one Sweet Escape. It's okay. I only like a few of the tracks on that one.

Personally, I think Gwen is way better on her own.
I didn't really like the band "No Doubt".
Now I listen to her music all of the time.

I liked some of No Doubt's music, most from the last couple cds they released, but their remake of It's My Life is one of my favorites. I have always liked Gwen, and I really liked the music from her first solo album. She shines no matter what she does. (And she has the cutest baby!!!)
