i think Aizen, he cant be harmed by anybody yet...
he can still improve himself to surpass everybody but Yamamoto is old and reaching his limit...

Yamamoto is stronger.He can handle kyouraku shunsui and ukitake juushiro at once.Aizen is strong but not stronger than Yamamoto.His good point is his cunning mind and he's smart too.But if they fight one on one,I believe Yamamoto can beat him without sweat.Yamamoto can handle two captains,let alone only one.Yamamoto is literally the strongest in Soul Society.

well considering aizens bankai, if yamamoto saw it, and i dont think he would even know, aizen would be far superior. he could pretty much do whatever he wanted.

I am inclined to say Yamamoto, he is not general for shows. His shikai was just strong to begin with.
