In the early 1980s, I would drive from Conroe to Tin Hall. It was a jumping place back then. Bands like "The Texas Heartbreakers" and "Eddie Marshall and the Texas Deputies" played the circuit then. Occasionally, Gary Stewart or Gene Watson might play there.

I know my Mom danced there with her friends in the late fifties and early sixties. I was just hoping a few more generations got to enjoy one of the best honky-tonks in the Houston area.

Yes, Tin Hall is definitely still open for business. They are only open for rented parties, but still do quite a bit. What really shocks me is the variety of services they can offer.
• Catering
• Decorations
• Floral Arrangements
• Moon Walk
• Wait Staff
• Live Music
• Photography
• Petting Zoo
• Climbing Wall
• Horse Drawn Carriages
• Keg Beer
• Valet Parking
• Firework Displays
• Helicopter Services
• Mechanical Bull
• Limo Service
• Additional Security

If your looking for a good honky-tonk in the Houston area: check out Mo's Place in Katy. It was voted the best honky-tonk in Houston (2006). Really great bands - don't miss the Texas Unlimited Band!

They rent it out for parties. Fred Stockton owns it. He just sold out of his valve company, Ralph Stockton Valve, and lives out of town now.

Funny you should mention it. I know Fred and hear him talk about it but have never been there myself.
