we are trying to find a good name for a baby boy.. please no extremely popular names like Jacob,caleb,chris etc. we thought about Carson Yay or Nay?

Carson is an o.k name but Yay or Nay is horrible. I like:
1. Samuel(Sam for short)
2. Job(It is a name in the bible pronounced johb)

Carson is cool name, not too popular, but not totally out there.
A great place to look for baby names is babynames.com, and babynamecorner.com A couple of names that I personally like are Skyler, Edan, Aaron... Hope this helps and congrats!

i like Carson it is unique but not unheard of and strong. i think a boy needs a strong name. there are some names that you wouldn't think were popular that are here is the website to the social security list of the most popular names. you can use it to rule out names. http://www.socialsecurity.gov/OACT/babynames/

Carson is not a bad name. Have you tried looking into ethnic names or names from your past...
my son is Joshua Darius....I picked it from a really good friend for the middle name and I have always loved Joshua.
