Hell yes I would try it. I would let plenty of dudes DO my wife...and why not? She's already been with dudes before me so a few more notches won't matter at all.

Now...I would love a differnt woman every now and then...swingin huh....

If the relationship is strong and you are confident that you will maintain the relationship with your partner, no matter how much fun the swinger experience, perhaps there is no harm done (being careful about STD's of course).

The real question is what you expect out of the swinger's experience. One time physical pleasure? Satisfying your curiosity? Making your partner jealous and see how he reacts?

Once you start looking at your and your partners' motives, a different picture emerges.

Maybe it is more of a thrill to go white-water rafting with your partner or visit New York or go dancing.

I am not of much help, aren't I?

I never have but if you and your partner have a very secure relationship with set parameters and no jealousy then it can be a fun addition to your love life. There are millions of swingers in happy, loving marriages. Few people on this board would say that though so be prepared for the onslaught of negative answers.

My husband and I had "couple friends" who tried this both with other friends and with strangers... it was so very bad for their relationship. At first, they were all into it, it was so hot and sexy and kinky they thought... then, both couldn't get over the images of the other with someone else and it ate them alive... and also had wierd happenings where one tested positive for STD, one night a guy the wife had been involved with showed up at their house "in love" with friend's wife and wanted sex... LOL... bad, bad, bad... now, neither respects the other or their marriage.

swinging may seem to be a good idea at first but if both parties are not totally comfortable with swinging it can turn into total chaos and destroy whatever relationship is left. It's not for everyone so make certain that your partner can accept it as just a little spice for life.
GOOD LUCK : )

Bad. All of the questions coming from people in that lifestyle have been negative. The lifestyle has either become an addiction, has effected their children negatively, or destroyed their marriage. Learn from the mistakes of others, it's easier that way.

well, that's a very hot topic, I actually think that each couple has to do what they want, in order to keep the flame alive, and if that works for you...who am I to judge?
I personally wouldn't try it because I am so freak out just to think about STD's and HIV, not even to mention that you can fall in love with someone else, I can't imagine my partner sleeping with someone else....just the thought makes me sick!

NO WAY. I have been married 22 yrs and I am 41. I understand boredome and all of that but that would ruin our marriage. I have no doubt. Its much better if I cheat in private. (just kidding, kind of). Don't do it.
