Why do so many people INSIST you are posting on the USA board when you are not? Why??? it says "YAHOO ANSWERS UK AND IRELAND" in the top left. I can read, people, can't you?

Some categories here (like Celebrities) must be shared between the US and the UK board, appearing on both.

I can only assume that this is the reason why people insist that the question is being posted on the American site, when it's actually posted on the UK version.

Why don't people figure this out instead of whining that you're on their bit of the site when you are definitely not?

LMAO at first answer.

OK OK OK folks look, I know that if you're not in the Uk it won't say UK in the corner, I didn't put that very well while ranting.

I'm not assuming anything, I am moaning about those who are assuming! I've had answers from people who don't seem to realise that the board in the English speaking board, it just gets on my nerves when they tell me to post in my own area. when I did.

baltimore wendy - this is a problem because when I ask a question about something that UK people will know about (having posted it on the UK board for that reason), I get a load of abuse from people saying I shouldn't post these questions on the USA board! That is why. Simple.

On the left hand side of the main page, underneath the categories there is a little box which says show, where you can choose which questions you want to see. I have mine set to UK and Ireland questions only, but there is also an option to view all English speaking questions. I think the trouble is that some people are set to view all English speaking questions, but think they are viewing American questions. It can be annoying when people start moaning that "this is the US site, what are you talking about?" etc, when it's not. Someone asked a question about nappies yesterday and half the answers were "What's a nappy!" I don't mind if people want to view all English questions, I've had some good answers from American members, but it would be nice if people figured out what their settings are and realised that they aren't just answering American questions.

Due to the Jones Act, ALL cruise ships are required to go to at least one non-US port, the only exceptions being the circle cruise around Hawaii and trips up and down the Mississippi River. (The cruises from the west coast to Hawaii stop in Ensenada.) There is no way to avoid children on any cruise. You will find fewer children if you cruise when school is in session, when the cruise is longer than 7 days, and when the cruise is significantly more expensive than average. However, I have seen children even on a Cunard World Cruise, and that was during the school year, about 3 months long, and VERY expensive. You will find that the vast majority of children on cruise ships are very nice, well-supervised, well-behaved folks. I suggest that you and BF meet with a travel agent in your area who books a lot of cruises. That will cost you nothing, but you will have the expertise and experience of an expert who can help you find and book the cruise that best meets your budget, your calendar, and your preferences to the maximum extent possible. My travel agent always does an excellent job for me. Do stay away from Carnival and Royal Caribbean and Disney, of course!

Maybe you should realize that questions and answers posted to Yahoo Answers are viewable by people connecting from either place. We post on the USA, you post on the UK, yet all the questions and answers are seen by both people. The question could be posed...why do YOU assume you are posting on the UK board when on our screen is says only "Yahoo Answers" and Yahoo is American based.

I posted this question yesterday-
As this is UK Answers, Why can't all Americans put U.S. after their answer ? As often they mislead?
The answers were interesting to say the least
my conclusion is that yahoo need to identify the origin of each question and answer.

The board must be shared between the countries in which English is the main language. I know for a fact that the main front page isn't though.

It's really not worth getting your knickers in a twist about it.

What happens is that when it's night time here, posts from users from India and the U.K./Ireland sites end up on the U.S. version of the site. It's been that way for a long time now.

If people want to see all questions in English, they get ours too. They don't know that we think they are intentionally coming onto the Blighty Board.

Well, Im 97% positive that Im on the US one when I signed in. But I can feel your aggravation. People should pay attention to detail more often. Assuming can become obnoxious. Assume= a.ss out of u and an a.ss out of me.

OH LOL look people if it doesn't say UK and Ireland that's cos you are on a shared page with other countries, what a stupid response, admittedly to a silly question.

Its annoying yes, esp. whenpeople in the States tell you to ask somewhere else when you technically weren't asking them at all.

Calm down though, if people are too silly to understand this concept, that's their problem.
