Does anyone honestly believe that GW is a Conservative? While he is far better than the idiots the left trotted out, he would never be worthy of licking the bootstraps of a real Conservative like Reagan or Buckley.

Bush is supported by exactly the same people who supported Reagan - one of them being Buckley. There isn't much difference between them, except that Reagan had smarter people on his staff, so his administration wasn't the festival of incompetence George's has been. But their beliefs and principles are nearly identical.

Bush and Reagan are two neoconservatives of a feather who's big government, mass corruption, and deficit spending flock together.

Bill Clinton and Bush Sr were more conservative than either of those two yet still NOT conservatives.

Rewriting Reagan history is the biggest hoax since his Star Wars program which lined the pockets of Raytheon and other defense contract companies.

No true conservative would have given nerve gas to Saddam Hussein.

Reagan shrank the military with his Early Discharge program which Bush 1 continued. Clinton closed the bases that were only half filled via this program to balance the budget.

You are correct in noting that Bush 2 is the anti-conservative. Almost everything Bush stands for goes 180 against the true conservatives of old. Good point.

Agreed...but Reagan, a conservative....Get real. Reagan was 1/3 the president people believe him to have been. Buckley does play a mean gi-tar though.

The only reason to be a republican righty is if you have a lot of money other wise u r just a brainless retard. Everything republicans do is a big f*ck u to the middle class people in the US. Also if your voting for a republican for moral reasons what right do you or the government have to tell me what i can or any1 else can do with there bodies. Keep ur morals to ur self just because there yours doesn't mean they should be mine 2.

You're right that the current admin is not conservative in any traditional sense, though I differ that the Bush admin is remotely as effective or as honest as the one that preceded it.

As for the crack about Dems - we'll see in Nov 08.

Bush is a conservative. He was elected twice by conservatives. Now that he has messed things up, Conservatives like to say that he is NOT a Conservative.
