I had many passions. I use to like drawing, playing video games for long hours, watching movies till 5 a.m. in the morning, listening to all sorts of Rap music, classic, pop, soft music, reading, playing basketball.

I finally realized my true passion when I began to visit a church with my family. I had no choice back then, I had to go whether I wanted to or not. Even then, I believed there was a God and a man name Jesus, but I didn't really care about it, or even wish to look further.

I heard several sermons in that church and they all made me think. But one morning I heard a sermon that was to push me by the power of the Holy Spirit that penetrated. During the sermon I saw my whole life like a movie while the preacher preached concerning salvation and time that is to be no more at the second coming Christ. Sudden I saw my need and realized my condition and I felt so filthy and unworthy of such mercy. I did not want to cry, because this would not look good for me. But the power of the Holy Spirit gripped me to my seat so that I would not get up and like a child I placed both hands to my face and begin weep and shiver uncontrollably as my life passed before me. I knew this message had to come from God!! And God was calling me to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior and follow Him. I insisted after the altar call for a date soon as possible to be baptized. I had already been studying, but this very morning, I wanted to delay no longer.

All of a sudden, slowly, the things that use to occupy my time begin to look vain and a waste of time. I begin to pick up the Bible and read regularly. I begin to lose track of several things in my life that I mentioned above. I did not even realize that I was putting these things aside.

As I begin to go to church on my own, and read the Bible, all of a sudden I was no longer good at those things I used to do and my passion just went out the window. The more I got involve in church ministry, the less time I had for those things.

One time I was called to give a short 5 minute meditation and I begin to preach without realizing 5 minute past. Than I was ask to preach on a Wednesday night. I was so nervous, but God was with me. I delivered a message that night that not only shocked the church with joy, but shocked me to the point where I had to sit down later to wonder what just happened. Even the pastor and everyone told me that I needed to go into the Ministry. I am still ministering in the church as an Elder and Deacon, but the Lord has put in my heart to go study Theology. I do not have the means yet, but I am praying for a miracle so that I can earn a degree in my passion, which I never thought for one second that it could be me if you would ask me 7 years ago. My passion is to study the Word of God and draw souls to Jesus. It brings tears to my eyes when a person makes a decision to accept Christ and be Baptized. It reminds me of me. What a joy it is for heaven. All the angels rejoice and my soul rejoice (like Mary the mother of Jesus said), if I can be an instrument in His hands to bring souls to Christ just as I came. I know this is rather personal, but I could not stop myself. God bless you. And may He continue to guide and protect you according Psalm 91 and 139 and John 14:1--6.

Actually, we are all probably born with certain interests and inclinations; and once you discover what they are, and get involved with expressing it/them, excitement and passion for the "activity" arises naturally. :)))
