50 lbs = 3500 calories times 50 = whatever! Basically, you will have to exercise, (treadmill for 6 miles per day) AND eat very little.... try eating only nuts, (macadamias, peanuts, almonds) and drink oolong tea (chinese supermarket) all day.

"Increase the speed and decrease the feed".... that's the mantra.

You can't. The body can only process two pounds of fat per week. If you lose more than that you are losing muscle mass. If you lost 50 pounds of muscle mass, you would probably not be able to get out of bed.

Go with a low fat, high fiber diet like that espoused by Dean Ornish (not quite so low in fat) or Pritikin or Susan Powter.

Dangerous liposuction, dangerous stomach stapling surgery, or cutting off enough body parts to make up 50 pounds.

Sorry, can't be done without dying. You're going to have to exercise, and eat less.

Twas ever thus.
